ASCPRO meetings take place as needed, most often in response to progress made by symptom-specific Task Forces. The Steering Committee will select topics for study, create topic task force groups, and review Task Force products. Ultimately, the Steering Committee will make recommendations about symptom assessment in clinical trials. Task Force members will establish objectives and form work groups at an initial planning meeting, and will attend one or more follow-up meetings to refine the group's recommendations and finalize the position paper. Interim meetings may be held via teleconference.
The Fatigue Task Force had its initial meeting in April 2007 and presented the first draft of its findings for review and discussion at the ASCPRO Steering Committee meeting in October 2007. The group met again in June 2008 to seek further consensus based on input from the October 2007 meeting and published its recommendations in early 2010.
